Arsenal ended the premier league season on a high, toppling Tottenham Hotspur for the second position, behind league winners Leicester.
It was an unexpected drama, with Tottenham collapsing 1-5 to relegated Newcastle, while Arsenal thrash Aston Villa 4-0, with a season ending hat trick by Olivier Giroud.
Since only two points separated the two London teams, Arsenal used the maximum points earned to displace Tottenham in the second position, ending the season with 71 points, while Tottenham ended with 70 points.
