Iyabo Anisulowo: abductors yet to make contact with family

Ogun State Police Command has announced a whooping five million naira reward to any informant  who has useful information for the police on the kidnapping of the former Minister Iyabo Anisulowo, who was kidnapped on Wednesday recently at Sawonjo/Iganokoto area of Yewa South local government area of Ogun State.

The offer  was made by the Commissioner of Police,  Abdulmajid Ali after a security meeting with some officers of the command and security chiefs at the Police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

Other security Chiefs who were at the meeting included; the Commander 35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Alamala, Abeokuta, Brig. Gen S. Danwalis, Director of Department of State Security Service,DSS, Ogun State Mr Kabir Sanni among others.

Anisulowo was last week abducted by  gunmen on her way from her farm.

Since her abduction,security agencies, including special squad from the office of the Inspector General of Police,IGP from Abuja have been combing the area in  search of the woman.

Yesterday, two helicopters were sent to the area from Abuja to assist the security personnel in the search for the APC chieftain.

Both the State Commissioner of Police and other senior officers from the State have relocated to Ilaro since Friday over the matter.

In a statement released on Monday from the Command and signed by the Command spokesman, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, the CP appeals to the general public to support  the police and give useful information that can assist in the rescue operation of the kidnapped victim.

“Any one with reliable information can get across to the Commissioner of Police Ogun State, CP Abdulmajid Ali on 09020911911, PPRO Ogun State, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi on 08081774631 or Officer in charge of the Special Anti Robbery Squad,SARS, CSP Gbenga Megbope on 08081766937 or any security agency around him”, the statement reads in part.

Ali however gave an assurance of confidentiality and security  to  anyone  who gives the police useful information.
