The Kaduna-Abuja Road has claimed another top government official, just weeks after the country lost the Minister of state for Labour, James Ocholi, his wife and son.
The victim this time is the acting director -general of the National Centre for Women Development in Abuja, Alhaji Abdulmalik Dauda.
His death was confirmed today by Mr Mohammed Aliyu, Protocol Officer to the director-general.
Aliyu said Dauda died on Friday in an auto crash along Abuja-Kaduna expressway while returning from an official assignment.
Dauda took over from Ms Onyeka Onwenu on Feb. 16, following the removal of 26 heads of government agencies and parastatals.
Born on Aug. 27, 1959, in Niger state, Dauda was survived by two wives and five children.
Aliyu added that the remains of Dauda had been buried according to Islamic rites in his home town in Niger.
