NYSC management begs for patience over delayed allowances

The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Tuesday said it was liaising with the Federal Ministry of Finance to ensure the release of money for corps members’ allowances.

A statement signed by the NYSC Director of Media, Mrs Bose Aderibigbe in Abuja said that the management regretted the delay in the payment of March 2016 allowances of corps members.

Aderibigbe  assured the public, especially corps members, that the scheme was discussing with the finance ministry to ensure that money was released for that purpose.

She said  the NYSC is expecting the money to be released through the Central Bank platform.

She reassured all out-going 2015 Batch ‘A’ corps members that their April allowances would be duly paid as soon as funds were released from the Ministry.

She also  urged corps members to remain calm and go about their lawful duties peacefully.
