Gov. Abiola Ajimobi’s request to appoint additional five special advisers into Oyo State Executive Council got the lawmakers’ nod on Tuesday.

Ajimobi had earlier written to the House, requesting its approval to appoint five advisers to join the only one appointed some months ago.

Commissioners have not been appointed since the governor was inaugurated for the second term on May 29, 2015.

The letter which was read on the floor of the House by the Speaker, Mr Michael Adeyemo, stated that the appointments would help to “strengthen and assist the government in decision making.’’

The lawmakers unanimously approved the request.

Meanwhile, the Oyo State Public Finance Bill 2015, an executive bill, has scaled first reading in the House.
