FC IfeanyiUbah: now second on the league table

Coach Kabir Dogo of Nasarawa United Football Club of Lafia on Wednesday acknowledged the superiority of hosts FC IfeanyiUbah of Nnewi in their rescheduled league game.

The hosts beat their guests 1-0 in the rescheduled 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game, and go second on the table with 16 points, one behind league leaders, Rangers International.

The win came through a sixth minute goal by Kofi Boake in the outstanding week two game.

Dogo however said part of the reasons for the team’s loss was fatigue as they were just returning from playing on the continent.

“They were better today. It’s just unfortunate that we had to lose today, but that is football,” he said.

On his part, coach of FC IfeanyiUbah, Mitko Dobrev, said they played for the three points at stake.

Dobrev lauded his players for maintaining the winning streak at home.
