Arsenal snatch 3 vital points at Everton

Arsenal players congratulate Iwobi

Arsenal walked away Saturday afternoon from Goodison Park with three vital points in the bag, thanks to first half goals by Danny Welbeck and Nigerian international, Alex Iwobi.

The second half was barren, even though Everton had more possession of the ball, 55% to Arsenal’s 45. The hosts had only 5 shots towards the goal, compared to Arsenal’s 10, with two landing them the vital two goals.

Romelu Lukaku, Everton’s dangerman who despatched Chelsea from the FA Cup just a week ago, was kept at bay by Arsenal defence.

With eight matches still go, Arsenal now have 55 points, three behind second placed Tottenham and eight points away from leaders Leicester City.
