The University of Ibadan says its matriculation ceremony for the 2015/2016 academic session will hold on Thursday.
The ceremony, earlier billed for March 10, was postponed due to a protest by the non academic staff of the institution.
A release issued by the Registrar of the institution, Mr Olujimi Olukoya, said the matriculation would hold at the International Conference Centre of the university.
” This is to inform the university community that new dates have been fixed for the orientation programme and matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students for 2015/2016 academic session.
“The two dates have been declared lecture-free day for fresh undergraduate students,’’ the release, published in the university’s bulletin, said.
“It is pertinent to reiterate that all matriculants, including postgraduate students, who are not graduates of the University of Ibadan must present themselves for matriculation, ” the release added.
