A subdued, melancholic President Muhammadu Buhari led cabinet members on Wednesday to pay tribute to the departed minister of state for labour and employment, James Ocholi, who died on Sunday in a ghastly road crash.

Ocholi, 55 year-old senior advocate of Nigeria died on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway, along with his wife and son. FEC members observed a minute of silence in his memory.

Boboye Oyeyemi, corps marshall and CEO of the Federal Road safety Commission, in an analysis of the crash given the cabinet said Ocholi’s car was travelling in a very ‘high but indeterminate speed’ on the road before the crash.

President Buhari in an earlier statement described Ocholi’s death as a personal loss.

He said Nigeria has lost a key element of the ‘change agenda’.
