The Senate of the Lagos State University (LASU) said on Tuesday that it would converge on Wednesday for a special session in honour of the late Prof. Ajibade Rokosu.

The university’s official bulletin said Rokosu was a former Dean, Faculty of Science and former Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university.

It said Rokusu‎, 75, also served meritoriously as the Dean, Postgraduate School and Deputy Vice-Chancellor respectively while at LASU.

The bulletin said the wake for the deceased, according to the funeral arrangement as announced by the family, ‎would hold on March 10 at the Yoruba Tennis Club, Onikan, Lagos, from 5 to 7 p. m.

The lying-in-state would hold on March 11 at the Island Club, Onikan, by 8 to 9 a.m. and the funeral mass and internment at Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi by 10 a.m.

The bulletin said the university’s management expressed its condolences to the family and prayed God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.
