The Nigerian army has confirmed the death of its Chief of Training and Operations Major General Yusha’u Mahmood Abubakar.
He died today in a ghastly road accident along Maiduguri-Damaturu road.
The Acting General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army, Brigadier General MSA Aliyu who was also involved in the accident was injured.
Army spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman, said he is receiving treatment.
The accident happened at about 2:30 pm when their car had a burst tyre and somersaulted.
