Gunmen suspected to be robbers attacked the Kaduna based Correspondent of  Agence France-Presse ,AFP , Mr. Victor Olasi at a hospital  in the city, North of Nigeria.

Olasi said he was dispossessed of cash, phone handsets  and  his Honda car, while  on admission at the hospital .

According to him, the robbery gang had come to the hospital and pretended they had come to see a nurse.

When the nurse on duty told them she had no idea who they wanted to see, they then frontally their mission: they were armed robbers, they said.

” I was on my hospital bed when five men came into the room. When they realized I was alone they ordered me to hand over my phones and my car keys at gun point” .

Olasi who still still groaned in pains as he his narrated his ordeal, said the robbers left his right hand swollen. The gunmen hit him with a gun, even after collecting all the things on him.

” They hit me with a gun on my right hand and the nurse that came into the room at the time also had her phone seized.”

Olasi shared his experience with fellow journalists  at his residence in Kaduna.

The robbery occurred 13 February 2016 around 9:30 pm. The police in the state are still investigating the incident.
