It’s lovers day in the United States. It’s also a day for flowers. And this is bug business.
Reports said Colombia alone has shipped 500 million flowers to the US just in time for the special cupid day. The flowers were shipped from flower farms in Facatativa, on the outskirts of the capital, Bogota.
According to Statistic Brain Research Institute, the US citizens spend an average of $13.3billion yearly on Valentine’s Day, with US florists making about $403 million.
About $2billion is spent on flowers.
