The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has formally declared former militant leader Government Ekpemupolo (akaTompolo) wanted.
Tompolo had failed to honour arrest warrants issued twice by Justice Buba of the Federal High Court in Lagos. The former warlord is wanted in connection with the theft of many billions of naira at Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
In advertisements in newspapers, the anti-graft agency urged the public to offer useful information on his whereabouts.
It said 47-year-old Tompolo is wanted in a case of conspiracy, illegal diversion of N34 billion and N11billion, N900 million belonging to NIMASA.
