Moroccan referee,Noureddine el-Jaafari will be at the  centre  as   Nigeria’s Super Eagles Team B and their Guinean counterparts, Syli Nationale  meet today at  Rubavu Stadium, Rubavu Rwanda in one of the two  final matches of Group C.

Both teams have a score to settle  as they battle for the quarter final ticket of the ongoing Rwanda 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN), the fourth edition.

The Home Eagles need at least a draw for them to pick one of Group C slots for the knock out stage of the CHAN being staged for players in the domestic leagues on the African continent.

El-Jaafari will be assisted by Theogene Ndagijimana from Rwanda and Mark Ssonko from Uganda. kick off time will be 3pm Nigerian time and 4pm Rwanda time. The match will be played simultaneously with the equally crucial match between Tunisia and Niger.

Nigeria sits atop the group with four points, while Tunisia and Guinea have two points each and Niger one point.

Victory by any margin on Tuesday will guarantee the Eagles top spot in the Group  and a quarter –final date with the second –placed team in Group D. A draw would be enough for qualification, as Nigeria have a two –point margin on second –placed Guinea and Tunisia, but should Tunisia achieve a high –score win over Niger Republic, top spot may not be guaranteed.

Guinea have drawn each of their two matches 2-2, against Tunisia and Niger Republic, coming from behind each time. They pose a big threat because of the skill and guile of their strikers.

The Eagles, who camped at the Gorilla Hotel, close to the Kivu Beach in Rubavu had their first training session in Rubavu on Sunday, and on Monday, the team had a feel of Tuesday’s match venue.

Eagles’ Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, said Chief Coach Sunday Oliseh praised the players for their brave performance against the very experienced Tunisian side on Friday and promised that the team will put out another high -level display on Tuesday.

But there were doubts over the match fitness of leading goal scorer,  Chisom Elvis Chikatara and midfielder Mohammed Usman.

According to head coach Sunday Oliseh, the tournament’s leading scorer is suffering from a minor knock and will be assessed alongside midfielder  Usman who is also suffering from pains in his groin.

“We took Usman out in the game against Tunisia because he was feeling some pains in his groin,” Oliseh told media ahead of Tuesday’s game.

“Chikatara is almost in the same stage and we will decide how we are going to use them in the game and that is if we are going to use them at all, if they can’t play in the game, then we will play without them.”

The two players trained alongside the remaining players on Monday as the coach remains hopeful to get all the 23 players fit for the game.

Coach Sunday Oliseh, was in the Nigerian squad that earned a 1998 FIFA World Cup ticket at the expense of Syli Nationale. But the Guineans also stopped Nigeria reaching the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations finals, when they  drew 2-2 with the Super Eagles in Abuja in October 2011.
