Anambra central senate: APC declares primaries inconclusive

Sharon Olive Ikeazor: alleges foul play

The All Progressives Congress has debunked reports that announced a winner for the party’s primaries to select a candidate for the Anambra central senatorial election.

The primaries could not be concluded on Wednesday as voters in three out of seven local councils were yet to vote.

One of the aspirants for the seat, Sharon Ikeazor alleged some foul play by her main rival, Uche Ekwunife, who crossed over from the Peoples Democratic Party.

In a statement today, APC national secretary, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni warned  against the declaration of any result from the primary election conducted by the party

“Senator Domingo Obende who was duly appointed by the party to conduct the primaries is yet to declare a final result, hence any other result announced from any quarter is null and void”, Buni said.

“The media and general public is advised to await completion of the exercise”.
