As the world awaits the release of the multi-million naira and multi-nationals cast film, 93 Days, the family of the Adadevoh and Cardoso, have dissociated self from the film meant to honour one of their own, Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh.

　
TheNEWS gathered through a message released by a family with a Twitter handle, @KwamiAdadevoh, and signed by Dr. Ama Adadevoh, disclosing that the family was not fully in the know of the movie script before it was shot and thus disapproves the release of the upcoming movie.

　
According to the family, the script was shared with the family only after it was completed and they strongly questions the integrity and authenticity of the story as it relates to the depictions of Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh.

　
“The inaccuracies in the movie do a great injustice and a disservice to the life works of Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh. Specific accounts in the script are incorrect and Mr. Afolabi Cardoso (husband) and Bankole Cardoso (son) are depicted in the movie without their consent. Further, the use of private information, as it relates to the medical records of the deceased, is morally reprehensible,” the family stated.

　
The much anticipated film was inspired by the late Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh of First Consultants Hospital, Lagos and her courageous team who joined hands in fighting the spread of deadly Ebola Virus Disease early 2015. She was the first Nigerian to have died of Ebola after contracting it from an American-Liberian diplomat, Patrick Sawyer.

　
But the two families of Adadevoh and Cardoso said they have not consented to the use of her name, likeness or image for commercial profit.

　
“The families intend to hold the filmmakers legally accountable for any falsehoods and innuendos in the movie, 93 Days with regard to Dr. Adadevoh and her family…We are committed to ensuring that the true story that pertains to the late physician was told to the public,” the concluded.

93 Days was produced by Bolanle Austen-Peters and Dotun Olakunri and directed by Steve Gukas. It stars Hollywood veteran Danny Glover and Keppy Ekpeyong as Liberian Patrick Sawyer.

The film also stars Bimbo Akintola as Nigerian hero, Dr Stella Adadevoh, Gideon Okeke, Somkhele Idhalama, Bimbo Manuel.
