Carlos Ancelloti, former coach of Real Madrid, will replace Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich as head coach at the end of the season, Club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the newspaper Bild on Sunday, ending speculations about the club’s Spanish coach.
“We appreciate everything Guardiola gave to our club and hope to celebrate a lot of success this season,” Rummenigge told Bild.
“With Ancelotti, we have a new successful trainer for Bayern. We are looking forward to working together.
There is no confirmation yet about Guardiola’s next club. Chelsea, Manchester City have been linked with him.
At a press conference on Friday, he said he has made up his mind about his next job.
