English FA cup holders, Arsenal will open their campaign against Sunderland, who they met at the weekend in the premier league.
Arsenal, winners of the tournament for the past two editions, will host Sunderland at the Emirates in the third round between 8 and 11 January next year, according to the draws made Monday night.
A riveting tie will be the one between Tottenham and red-hot Leicester City. Tottenham will host the league leaders.
Manchester City will also meet fellow league club, Norwich, while Manchester United will host Sheffield United.
