Reports: Kogi PDP chieftain kidnapped

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi State, Adamu Enape, was kidnapped by gunmen on Tuesday.

He was reportedly kidnapped at Ajegu in Ofu LG of the state, while returning from a campaign tour of his party.

An election is due in the state on 21 November.

Enape, who is a member of the Kogi State Pension Board.

A police spokesman in the state said they have not been informed of the kidnap.

Kogi has been notorious for cases of kidnapping, including foreigners.
