The wife of the president, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, has appealed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to renege on its campaign promise of paying N5,000 stipend to unemployed Nigerians and also giving a meal a day to school children.
Her intervention coming less than 24 hours to the swearing-in of 36 ministers, must serve as a jolting reminder to the cabinet of the party’s covenant with the Nigerian people.
Mrs Buhari, according to her media aide, believes the APC will fulfil the promises because it is a party of integrity.According to the wife of the president, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a party of integrity
Mrs Buhari recalled that the APC had assured Nigerians during the campaign that it would pay 5,000 maira each month to 25 million most vulnerable citizens.
She, however, asked Nigerians to be patient with the APC-led government, saying the change they had been yearning for had come to stay.
