African champions Mali have booked a place in the finals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, beating Belgium 3-1. It was their first time in the finals of the competition.
In the match played Thursday in Estadio La Portada La Serena, the Malians came from behind to beat Belgium, with Boubacar cancelling on 22nd minute, the first goal scored by Belgium’s Rigo, six minutes earlier.
The Malians then added two more goals by Maiga and koita in the second half.
The Malians will await Nigeria-Mexico match coming up after midnight to know their final opponents.
