Nigeria battles Tunisia in Futsal Nations Cup

Nigeria will face Tunisia in the preliminary round of qualifiers for the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations billed for South Africa in 2016.

The Nigerian five-a-side team will visit Tunisia for the first leg scheduled for Dec. 12, and will host the north African side on Dec. 13.

There are five other pairings, with Cameroon against Angola, Equatorial Guinea against Zambia, Cote D’Ivoire against Morocco, Madagascar against Mozambique, and Sudan against Libya.

The six winners will join hosts South Africa and defending champions Egypt, who drew a bye from the qualifiers.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the final tournament has been fixed for April 15 to April 24.

Futsal is a variant of Association Football and a modified form of football which is played on a smaller field and mainly played indoors with five players per side.
