With the last group matches in the FIFA Under 17 World Cup tournament completed in Chile Sunday night, Australia, third place finishers in Group C have now been confirmed as Nigeria’s next opponent in the Round of 16.
The match will be played on Wednesday 28 October. Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets are the defending champions and topped Group A with six points. They will need to beat the Aussies for a place in the quarter finals.
On the same day, Brazil will tackle New Zealand, while Mexico will play Chile, the hosts. Korea Republic will also line up against Belgium.
It will be Croatia, second place finishers in Group A, versus Germany on Thursday, with Mali also meeting Korea DPR. Russia will play Ecuador on same day and France, the leading goal scorers in the tournament will battle Costa Rica.
