Proceedings in the resumed trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki began at about 10.30 am at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, with lawyers for the parties announcing their presence.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki  arrived earlier  Tribunal in Abuja, with 28 senators in tow.

Deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, arrived with another set of four senators, to give support to the embattled senate president, standing trial for false declaration of assets, when he was governor of the central Nigeria state of Kwara, between 2003 and 2011.

There will be no live TV coverage of the trial however, as the  tribunal judge ordered all cameras, including TV to shutter down.

Mr Danladi Umar,  chairman of the tribunal  conveyed the ban via the  Assistant Chief Registrar, Mr. Bintu Garba.

Garba  told reporters that they could not take photographs or record the proceedings live.

This was the order of the tribunal, Garba said.
