Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso  says that it will soon commence the production of glass wares in its department of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT).

Prof. Adeniyi Gbadegesin, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, gave this indication at the 6th induction ceremony for students of Science Laboratory Technology.

Gbadegesin said that work had commenced in the newly completed glass blowing workshop and laboratory complex, saying the products would be supplied to sister institutions and organizations, on request.

He said that apart from being taught the theory and principle of glass blowing technology, the students now mended and produced glass wares.

Prof Ezekiel Ayodele, the Dean, Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, said that management of the university was unrelenting in its efforts at repositioning the department for better service delivery through provision of facilities and engagement of senior academics
