Nigeria’s state governors and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are holding a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) in Abuja.
The closed-door meeting in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa began just before noon on Thursday when Osinbajo arrived the venue.
The meeting is expected to deliberate on the remaining aspect of bailout for states, refund of money spent on Federal roads by state governments and updates on the investigation of excess crude account under last administration.
The states whose governors were present when the meeting commenced are – Delta, Adamawa, Lagos, Zamfara, Kwara, Anambra, Rivers (Deputy), Plateua, Nasarawa, Kano, Bauchi, Sokoto and Ogun.
Others are – Yobe, Ondo, Imo, Niger, Borno, Benue, Taraba, Oyo, Ebonyi, Abia, Cross River, Kaduna, Osun, Edo, Kebbi and Kogi States.
