The Nigeria Army on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of three more suspected Boko Haram’s collaborators in Hausari Ward in Maiduguri, by troops from the 21 Brigade.
This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja by the Nigeria Army’s spokesman, Col. Sani Usman, which was made available to newsmen.
According to the statement, their arrest was part of a follow-up to the recent capture of one of the terrorists’ financiers in Bama.
“Please recall that a Boko Haram financier, fund raiser and stimulant supplier, was arrested by troops of 21 Brigade yesterday.
“The arrested terrorist has been making very useful statements and lending more insights into the activities of the terrorists and their collaborators.
“This has been yielding positive results and as a follow up, three collaborators in Hausari Ward, Maiduguri were arrested today by troops operating in the area.
“The arrested collaborators of the insurgents in Maiduguri are currently being interrogated,’’ the statement said.
