Blogger, social commentator, activist Kayode Ogundamisi was among the hordes of newsmen waiting at the Charing Cross Police Station in London for the appearance of Diezani Alison Madueke, former Nigerian Petroleum Minister.
She was brought to this station on Friday after she was arrested, along with four other persons, by the UK National Crime agency on suspicions of bribery and money laundering. She was given a conditional bail, her passport seized and asked to report today.
Diezani was Nigeria’s first female oil minister, under whose watch Nigeria was immersed in fraudulent trillion naira oil subsidy payments, unprecedented oil theft and the disappearance of $20billion oil revenue.

As at 1.25 pm, Ogundamisi reported that officials of the Westminster Magistrate Court, where Diezani was rumoured to have been taken for arraignment, also said they have not seen her.
