Three years ago, a Nigerian Twitter user , Olaoluwa @Diimmz_ sent a direct message to a Nigerian lady he stumbled upon on the platform, with the name Oyinkansola @freakyvickie. He wanted to be taught how to use Twitter.
Three years after, the chance meeting has been consummated: they are now husband and wife, arguably Nigeria’s first Twitter Couple.
The marriage took place in Lagos yesterday and with photographs to show it was real. Their example has ignited messages of goodwill and congratulations. And some also came with warnings: that if it works for the Olaoluwas, it may not necessarily work for someone else. Follow the tweets here:
