Chief Olu Falae, the Baale of Ilu Abo outside Akure, the Ondo State capital, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and one time minister, has been kidnapped.
The 77-year old former minister was kidnapped from his Ilu Abo farm today.
When TheNEWS tried to confirm the incident at the Alagbaka Government House in Akure, the commissioners and Governor Olusegun Mimiko were said to be holding their weekly Exco meeting.
TheNEWS was told that only the police could confirm the story.
The source, however, said that the story “is everywhere in Ondo State”
Mr. Falae, 77, was also Nigeria’s former minister of finance and the presidential candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in 1999.
He founded the Social Democratic Party and normally resides in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
