Ejire Lale, son of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, abducted on Monday by gunmen has been released, according to reports from Port Harcourt.
He was kidnapped in Agbeta Ebubu, Eleme Local Government Area of the state, where he went to supervise work on his fish pond.
A group of six armed men stormed the place around 7.30pm after robbing a neighbour within the compound and took him away on foot.
Ejire is the son of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ndowa Lale.
