Kaduna State Police Command today arrested a 30 year old man who allegedly  raped three  underaged girls at Badarawa area, Kaduna North local government of the state.

The raped girls are aged 7 ,8 and 10.

Though the police have not formally paraded the suspected serial rapist , parents of  the girls  identified him as Shefiu Bello. They  told journalists that luck ran out  for the rapist  today when one of the raped victims, an eight year old,  opened up to the mother after she  could not easily urinate  .

At the Primary Healthcare Centre, Badarawa , where the raped girls are being treated,  one of the parents said that the suspect often  enticed the girl with 5 and 10 naira and in some cases death threat before defiling them.

One of  the girls interviewed disclosed that Shafiu  repeatedly raped her for  close to a year now. However, she said  could not tell anyone because of the threat and financial promises.

It was learnt all the raped girls live within the same neighbourhood ,though not from the same family.

Speaking to journalists ,the father of one of the girls, Hamisu Bala  said the suspect confessed to the allegation when he was confronted.

He also hinted that were it not the  intervention of security personnel , the suspect would have been lynched by angry mob, who stormed the area when they got the news.

“We are worried about the whole thing because we do not even know whose turn it will be tomorrow.” He said.

Leader of Badarawa and Malali Concerned Forum, Alhaji  Mohammed  Lema said the suspect was handed over to the police to face the wrath of law.
