The National Bureau of Statistics in its August petrol price watch said the product was cheapest in Kano,  north western state of Nigeria,  during the month.

The Bureau, which monitors household expenditure on the product, said petrol buyers paid an average of N92.57 , slightly higher than the N91.50  paid in July.

Abuja, the national capital, comes next at N94.60, followed by  Plateau at N94.71. Ogun state spent N95.29,  Osun state, N95.81,  Lagos, the country’s commercial capital spent  N96.50, Delta ,  N96.63 and Katsina N96.64.
