PDP shifts Kogi governorship primary to Monday

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed the Kogi state governorship primary, earlier scheduled to hold on Thursday, September 10, 2015.

The postponement was caused by  some logistic issues pertaining to the exercise, said a statement from the National Publicity Secretary, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh on Wednesday.

The NWC reassured members of the party and other critical stakeholders, particularly the gubernatorial aspirants, of a transparent, credible, free and fair primary election.

The statement said the NWC has approved a new date of Monday, September 14, 2015 for the  election and directs all members to be guided by this.
