After eight stops in eight major African cities, Nigerian producer and Disc Jockey, DJ Cuppy’s ‘Cuppy Takes Africa’ Tour came to an exciting end with a recent sold out final show in
Johannesburg, South Africa.

The final show of the tour held at Club Harem, Johannesburg, featured DJ Cuppy’s signature ‘Water and Fire”, themed performance of the ‘Cuppy Takes Africa tour’. It had guest appearances by South Africa-based Nigerian rapper, Emmy Gee and Da Les.

The Jo’burg, South African gig kicked off with a media tour to some of South Africa’s biggest media houses including Trace TV and YFM Radio. And as part of her charity activities on the tour, DJ Cuppy and the Dangote Foundation visited the Dimphonyana (Little Gifts of Home) Orphanage where she served dinner to the children and made a donation to their welfare. The excited children in turn gave Cuppy a hand-made drawing of herself. A press conference was held at The Capital Moloko, Sandton, Johannesburg to officially close the African tour with DJ Cuppy, her team and sponsors evaluating the success of the tour.

After a successful launch inside the Marquee of Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday 1 August, DJ Cuppy and her team delivered breath taking gigs across Dakar, Senegal; Accra, Ghana; Nairobi, Kenya; Tanzania; Kigali, Rwanda and Kampala, Uganda before wrapping up the ambitious campaign in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The ‘Cuppy Takes Africa’ tour was a continental project proudly powered by GT Bank plc and also sponsored by The Dangote Foundation.
