A container  careered off the Ojuelegba Bridge, in Lagos Wednesday and fell on a black SUV down under.

Three persons were killed in the accident. And the driver of the truck reportedly escaped from the scene.

Witnesses said the incident, which occurred around 5:00pm compounded the usual gridlock on the axis, at peak time.

The driver of a white vehicle  also hit by the container was unscathed.

Rescue agencies rushed to the scene to evacuate the container and the crushed  vehicle.
