Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi on Wednesday in Katsina qualified for the final match of the 2015 Men’s Federation Cup after defeating Rangers International FC of Enugu 1-0.

The lone goal of the semi-final match played at the Karakanda Stadium was scored 37 minutes into the game.

NAN also reports that two red cards were issued to Rangers players in the first half of the match.

Rangers however dominated the second half, as they fought back in search of the equalizer.

The Chief Coach of Lobi Stars, Justin Tenger, thanked God for the victory, and the Katsina fans for their support during the match.

Tenger said he was hopeful that Lobi Stars would emerge winners of the competition.

However, the Assistant Chief Coach of Rangers, Duke Udi, expressed dissatisfaction with the way the match was officiated by the centre referee, complaining of partiality.

“In the first place, the match was not supposed to be played in Katsina, but they changed the venue from Abeokuta to Katsina. Today’s game is a disgrace, with no apology to anybody.

“But I believe that if Lobi Stars go on next year to represent Nigeria at the continental level, they will lose. This is because this type of people should not represent Nigeria.

“We played with nine men and gave them a hard time, and they only scored only one goal. It is a shame.’’
