Securing Abia is One of Governor Ikpeazu’s Top Priorities-Agwu

The Security Adviser to the Abia State governor, Capt Awa Udensi Agwu, has assured that the new government of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is one hundred per cent interested in security of Abians, adding thatit is not something any government can toy with.

The Security Adviser stated this recently at the Government House, Umuahia, while fielding questions from journalists on pockets of criminality noticed in Aba in recent times. He assured that soonest the security situation in Abia would improve. He revealed that a lot of security measures had been put in place. He added that experience has shown that those who commit crimes will always try to strive and that it is the responsibility of government to stop them.

To this end, he expressed optimism that Abia State government under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is on top of the security situation in the state. Capt Agwu maintained that Aba is fully secured as well as the entire Abia.

The Security Adviser, therefore, called on investors to feel free and come to Aba to transact business because Aba is safe and the state government has put a lot of security measures in place. He further called on all and sundry to be security conscious, adding that the government is determined to make the state a safe haven where all will live peacefully and transact business.

He however called on the traditional rulers, churches, clergymen, business moguls and government workers to give information to the security agencies to ward off criminals in their hideouts.
