The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) will not be using the 3 km by 3 km, 12 million sitting capacity arena tonight after all.
It had earlier been reported in the media, based on information supplied by the image making arm of the church that the arena would be used for some plenary session, especially the Friday vigil or Holy Ghost Night taking place tonight.
Some members of the church were anxious to go to the new auditorium.
Some of the faithful who were approached by TheNEWS reserved their comments.
Some of the pastors said they heaved a sigh of relief when the General Overseer, Pastor Adejare Adeboye, did not say anything about the movement during the ministers’ conference and at the conclusion of Thursday’s programme.
The delay in completion of the project is attributted to the bad economy.
