Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has sacked Akeem Adedeji as Chairman of the State’s Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences Unit in less than two months he assumed office.

Reason for his sack was not stated. Adedeji was appointed late June 2015.

The news of his removal filtered in on Friday evening as staff in the taskforce were shocked.

Ambode has already replaced the sacked Taskforce Chairman with Olubukola Abe, a Superintendent of Police.
