Wike sacks Hillary Wordu from College of Arts, appoints SA protocol

Wordu: sacked

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has ordered the provost of the Rivers State College of Arts and Science, Dr. Hillary Wordu, to proceed on compulsory leave.

He is to handover to Dr. Samuel Kalagbor with immediate effect.

No reason was given for the removal of the Provost. It would however be recalled that the College was recently upgraded to award degrees.

Governor Wike has also appointed Joe Akpa as the Senior Special Assistant on Protocol.
