THE world will soon have a Facebook Baby. There is no pun intended. It is real.
Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg said he and his wife, Priscilla Chan are expecting their first child: a baby daughter. The announcement came with a dampening revelation that the couple had three miscarriages in two years.
And what a fitting way to announce it: on Facebook, a social media platform being used by 1.5 billion people worldwide.
Zuckerberg wrote: ‘This will be a new chapter in our lives. We’ve already been so fortunate for the opportunity to touch people’s lives around the world — Cilla as a doctor and educator, and me through this community and philanthropy. Now we’ll focus on making the world a better place for our child and the next generation.’
