Wolfsburg have won the German SuperCup, defeating Bayern Munich on penalties.
The Bundesliga champions allowed Arjen Robben’s 49th minute goal to be equalised by #Wolfsburg’s Nicklas Bendtner on 89th minute.
The game at the Volkswagen Arena, thereafter went into penalty kicks, with #Bayern’s Xavi Alonso losing his shot, thanks to an acrobatic save by Wolfsburg keeper, Koen Casteels who denied him with his foot.
All five Wolfsburg players scored from the spot.
Bendtner, former Arsenal player, again was the hero for Wolfsburg as he scored the last shot, to wrap victory for his team.
With Wolfsburg victory, Coach Pep Guardiola remained winless in the German Supercup in three attempts.
The Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal made his debut for Bayern, when sent on to the field after 74 minutes. He was booked eight minutes later and scored from the first penalty shot.
