Ogun council caretaker chairmen to be screened Monday

All the caretakers of the 20 local councils in Ogun state nominated by Governor Ibikunle Amosun, will be screened by the House of Assembly on Monday.

Speaker Suraj Adekunbi announced this today as he read a letter from Amosun containing the names of the five-member committee for each local council.

He said “I this medium to tell all the nominees of the governor to please come to the House of Assembly on Monday for screening, and I want to enjoin all of them to bring their Curriculum Vitae by 10 a.m.’’

The tenure of the old council chairmen ended 22 July, with the governor on Wednesday holding a valedictory service for them in Abeokuta.

The names of the chairmen of each transition committees are: Tunde Olukoga, Waterside
Olaniyi Opanuga, Odogbolu, Deola Tayo, Ijebu North East, Muyiwa Odufowokan, Ijebu East
and Sabitu Olumide, for Ewekoro local council.

Others are Lola Awoniyi, Sagamu, Segun Adebowale, Odeda, Mojeed Akindele,Ijebu North Ibikunle Bayowa Abeokuta North, Olusola Ekundayo for Abeokuta South local council,
Akin Odusola, Yewa North, Idowu Ojumo,Ado Odo, Lukman Adeola,Ifo, Akintonde, Obafemi Owode and Akeem Fagbemi for Ipokia local government.

Imeko Afon local council has Olaleye Tajudeen, Yewa South, Wole Tiamiyu, Remo North, Awotola, Ijebu Ode, Wasiu Baruwa and Ikenne Tolani Obakoya.
