Tambuwal pays July salary to Sokoto workers, ahead of Sallah

Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State says he has approved the immediate payment of July salaries to workers ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr.

The governor’s spokesman, Malam Imam Imam said the payment of salaries has commenced for all categories of workers in the state civil service.

Tambuwal, in a statement by Imam, ‎urged workers in the public service to reciprocate the government’s gesture by continuing to render invaluable services to the state.

The statement also appealed to them to use the remaining days of Ramadan to pray for the peace, unity, stability and progress of the state and the country.

“Gov. Tambuwal is wishing all the citizens of the state a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration,’’ it added.
