Fenerbahce unveils Van Persie tomorrow

Robin Van Persie in Turkey

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie will complete his switch to Turkish clubside Fenerbahce on Tuesday, the club announced on its site today.

The signing ceremony will take place at 18:00 (Local Time) at Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

“After the ceremony, Persie will hold a press conference and speak to the media at the press conference room of Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium”, the club said.

The 31 year old striker, a former Arsenal player, is already in Turkey for the ceremony.

Sky Sports reported on Sunday that the Dutch was literally mobbed by Fenerbahce fans on his arrival on Sunday to discuss terms.

The Turkish giants announced last week they had entered into negotiations with United and the Dutch striker over a potential move and Van Persie landed at the airport amidst chaotic scenes where he was draped in several Fenerbahce scarves.

He told fans: “What I’m seeing here is incredible. Thank you for your support. I hope I can make you very happy . It is an honour to see you here.”
