President Muhammadu Buhari has continued to rebuff the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, over the crisis in the National Assembly.
A Nigerian newspaper reported today that since the event of 9 June, when Saraki rode to the senate presidency in connivawith PDP senators, President Buhari has refused to formally meet with him.
The only time they met was at the first meeting of the National Executive Committee of the party, when Buhari, it was reported, shook hands with Saraki, just for the cameras.
Since then, reported the Punch, all efforts by Saraki to have another meeting were rebuffed by Buhari.
A government official who spoke to SUNDAY PUNCH said, “The truth is that the President is still displeased with what transpired in the National Assembly, especially the Senate.
