Professor Osahogulu regains freedom from abductors

The Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education,Port Harcourt, Professor Rosemund Green Osahogulu, who was abducted last week Thursday by gunmen on her way home, after the closure of work, has regained her freedom.

The circumstances surrounding her release remain sketchy at the time of this report.

However,Ahmad Muhammad,the Rivers Command of Public Relations Officer confirmed her freedom this morning stating she is hale and hearty and united with her family.

We could confirm if ransom was paid by the family before the Vice Chancellor was released.

Professor Rosemund Green Osahogulu was appointed the Vice Chancellor by former Governor Chibuike Amaechi after upgrading the institution from College of Education to University of Education.

The Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase,had decried the rise in the abduction cases in Zone Six,comprising, Rivers,Akwa-Ibom,Cross River and Ebonyi.

The IGP therefore suspended annual leave for officers and men directing the commands to stem the tide immediately.
