The Lagos State House of Assembly on Wednesday announced the postponement of the inauguration of the 8th Assembly earlier scheduled for Thursday.
Miss Bose Lambo, Head of Information at the Assembly announced the postponement, citing “unforeseen circumstances”.
Her statement did not give specifics.
According to the statement, the inauguration will now take place on Monday, June 8.
“All inconveniences are highly regretted please,” the statement said.
The 7th Assembly held a valedictory session during its final plenary on Monday.
